最近又多返啲人過嚟移民/讀書, 好多人唔明白點解, 即使喺香港做咗好多年社工, 喺呢度都唔易搵工, 其實, 情況亦會發生喺嚟自其他國家嘅人士, 以下嘅不同, 令本地僱主唔ready 請外地嚟嘅社工:
- 大部份工作根本不須要社工學位及以上 quali, 好多職位請個 diploma qualified ge 人個仲識得多啲實務性工作, 有部份職位甚至係唔需要學歷, e.g. disability services coordinator (via NDIS)
- 福利制度完全不同
- 每個範疇嘅 funding mode 都唔同, 社福有時係同私營’搶生意’, CLIENT用者自付(多少都好)嘅形式, 所以 worker 都要理解呢個唔好聽嘅’搶客’過程
- 每個地區嘅需要同 network 機構唔同
- 香港學嘅及做嘅好多時好多係輔導技巧, 但呢度根本唔須要你去做, 只有極少數嘅係呢類工作
另外, 以下係 work culture 裡, 基本上呢一行嘅 culture/basic knowledge, 但香港可能聽都未聽過:
- WHS
- duty of care
- Code of Conduct
- mandatory reporting
- risk assessment
- insurance consideration
- cultural awareness to people from CALD backgrounds and the First Nation
- inclusive practices
- visa status/residence rights consideration for clients
香港講好多 intervention models, 社工果行大家都會流行用同講, 例如係: CBT, Family Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Crisis Intervention, Grief Therapy… 用以 engage client, render intervention, etc.
呢度講好多嘅係 framework 去分析案主嘅現況, 很少會以長時期用果個 model 做 intervention (因為職責上不須要), 例如:
- ABCD Model for community development
- trauma informed approach
- systems theory
- developmental approach
- person-centred approach
以上係過去咁多年嘅觀察, 因此, 香港做咗好多年嘅社工, 甚至有一個碩士學位, 不一定容易搵工, 而我眼見的, 過去十年裡嚟悉尼計數, 搵得到做返呢行嘅, 而我又識嘅, 可能唔出十個。
